Good news concerning credits from Finansbank to KOBI’s. Executive Vice President Bekir Dildar stated that over a period of 4 years credits totaling approximately 10 billion YTL have been extended to KOBI’s. Pointing out that they had extended 60-63 percent of their balance sheet as loans to customers, Dildar said ‘Our treasury bill portfolio is very small, at around 10 percent approximately. Next year we intend to maintain without decreasing our credit portfolio extended to KOBI’s. We want to maintain that ratio whatever the growth of our balance sheet, asset size shall be. Consequently, during 2007 we aim to increase it at least by 50 percent and to extend credits amounting to 4,5 billion YTL to KOBI’s’’. Dildar stated that in KOBI banking they had increased cash credits 10 times, and their branch networks two. Mentioning that their opinion was that the share of KOBİ’s in the banking sector’s credits was not 5 percent as it was estimated but around 15 , Dildar drew attention to the fact that the race in the sector in this area would not be in the interest rates and commissions but in branch network, good service and speed. . There is not a single definition for KOBİ’s Dildar, in the statement he made, mentioned that there was not a single definition for KOBI’s between banks, said that according to the definition published last year in the Official Gazette companies with a personnel of 1 to 250 persons and with turnover upto 25 million YTL were in this band, however the definition of the banks did not yet match this. Mentioning that this situation resulted from the fact that banks still had no collective reporting, Dildar said that as Finansbank, they described companies with a maximum turnover of 5-5.5 million YTL as KOBI.
